The course enhance a deeper awareness of our experience (focusing on movement, sensations, feelings, thinking and imagination) acknowledging the richness of our inner world and how this is embodied through movement and dance.
Haiku Dance s a moving project led by dance artist Stella Azzurra inspired by haiku poems and the use of metaphorical imagery in dance.
The Haiku dance course is not on at the moment, but please get in touch if you'd like to get involved. We use japanese Haiku poems as stimuli for movement; the aim is that of making dances which attempts to be intuitions and revelations of a human, and overall universal, condition of being - as the poems do. For this project I would like to work with artists, actors, performers, movement artists and anyone with an interest in the moving body and performance.
The programme includes:
- Stretching for strenght and flexibility; - Being present to the moment; - Connect to the always changing state of the body; - Exploring inner landscapes; - Parts of the body and body as a whole; - Moving in response to imagery and sensations;
Intensive Workshop:
STILLNESS THROUGH MOTION
26th of March 10am-3pm in Devoran Village Hall £30/ £20
We will work with the body-self in stillness and movement, taking time to be and explore ourselves. We will draw, write and make with materials to ground our moving experience
